For my Grand Blog Opening I am linking to Shannon at Rocks in My Dryer for the Fall Y’All Bloggy Giveaway!

I have a good one! Wish I had more time to use it myself! Movies were the “IT” date night outing during my highschool dating sprees and how I wish I could relive those outings (minus the goofy pretend yawn put your arm around my shoulder bit) as often as I used to so that I can regain a teensie bit of sanity. I am giving away a Regal Cinemas Movie Theatre $20 Gift Card.
Please leave a comment on this post and tell me which movie you plan to see. Also, please tell me what you would love to see on my site that would make it oh so fabulous that you would visit it everyday even if it meant you’d have to do it while sitting on the toilet while wiping little Jenny’s nose and singing 1 little 2 little 3 little Indians backwards. I will pick a random winner on November 2nd and announce the winner on November 3. Good Luck and Happy Halloween!!!! Subscribe to my feed at http://recipeformotherhood.com/?feed=rss2

So today was my first experience with juggling 2 parties scheduled on the same day at the same times…………….on opposite sides of town. Experienced parents told me it would happen. They told me a lot of things would happen but you take all the warnings and premonitions in stride until the day of the actual experience. And so off we went to boo boo’s cousin’s birthday party and we left early and weren’t able to even cut cake or sing happy birthday only to not make it to the next engagement……….a toddler Halloween party in one of the newer condo buildings here on Brickell Key (for all of you native Miamians). So not only was I upset that boo boo wasn’t able to mingle and rub elbows with the nouveau, very nouveau riche diaper wearing, booger picking crowd, but my husband was upset that he missed a “networking” opportunity. See we are kind of re-working the framework as far as career paths and we are trying to connect and reconncect with those already in the trenches and may be able to help us out. But now back to the subject. How do those perfect super moms split themselves in 2 and 3 and 20? I am seriously considering contatcing the scientists who cloned Dolly the sheep. But anyway, boo boo had a lot of fun at her cuz’s b-day and that’s the most important thing afterall.

Hey boo boo had one of these and I think when used with a good dose of common sense it’s a pretty good invention.
But anyway, there are those that will balance their kids in this type of seat on top of a stool or counter top. Anyway I thought it was pretty handy until she got tired of being upright anytime before six months of age and started crying. Here is the article concerning the recall:

I am happy to report no serious head injuries to boo boo! Maybe it’s because I used good ol’ common child supervision! Now these guys are gonna get the pants sued off of them for what is in my opinion not their fault really. There is a disclaimer on the package.

So my daughter has grown up with the Baby Einstein series and has recently graduated to Little Einsteins on Playhouse Disney and ta da! there are fruit gummy snacks that provide Vitamin C and work great to ease boredom and the tummy rumbles. And yes they have a decent amount of sugar but once in a while can’t hurt. And whoever said Baby Einstein was bad for kids and decreased their vocabulary aka American Academy of Pediatrics, should possible rethink their research. As I said before, boo boo has been watching BE since she was 4 months old and is now 17 months and has a vocab of over 150 words in English and in Spanish. Can’t believe everything they say!

I am so proud of myself………and of my hubby as well……………..and my web host/designer. Thanks Lara! We finally got this blog up and running and I can now write, write and write! Welcome! It’s currently 11:39 pm my time and I am burnt out from working on RFM. Boo Boo (my daughter) had me running ragged today. She figured out how to get inside of her top drawer that is part of her crib and managed to get baby vicks vapor rub smeared all over her crib and wipees and q-tips thrown all over the place. And of course after all that she didn’t want to nap. But the whole situation made me laugh anyway. Oh yes and my husband forgot to remove the soiled diaper he had changed from the floor of her room. I tell ya! And I still have a sense of humor I guess. So I will formally start adding some “meat”…..haha get it “meat” to my “cookbook” tomorrow. I am kind of loopy right now on some Level and OJ. It’s the perfect late night unwind besides a nice glass of red. Eyelids….getting…………………..heavy………………………typing……becoming difficult………….goodnight moon, goodnight stars, goodnight little knitting old lady………………oh no, I’m reciting boo boo’s favorite bedtime story, a New York Times best seller. See you tomorrow.
